Solar energy being promoted in Manipur

According to reports, in an endeavor to promote the usage of solar energy, the Manipur Renewable Energy Development Agency (MANIREDA) has set a target for providing 10,000 solar water heaters under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Energy Mission. MANIREDA to light up three hospitals, police stations with solar lighting systems

According to reports, the Manipur Renewable Energy Development Agency(Manireda), is all set to light up three district hospitals in the state besides 73 police stations and Manipur Rifles unites in the state with solar lighting systems. Manipur’s Tingkai village electrified by solar-wind hybrid project

According to reports, Manipur’s Tingkai village in Senapati District has been electrified through a solar-wind hybrid project after five years of its resettlement in 2001.
