    Centre removes interstate supply charges on solar power projects till December 2019

    According to reports, Solar power projects will be exempted from interstate transmission charges till the end of December 2019, making it feasible to compete with thermal power.     According to reports, Tamil Nadu Government has floated tenders for generating solar energy to the tune of 1,500 MW as part of its proposal to increase the installed power capacity in solar energy to 5,000 MW in coming years.
