    Suzlon Group REpower concludes 300MW first contract under a 954 MW framework agreement with Saint-Laurent Énergies

    Suzlon Group, the world’s third largest wind turbine supplier, announced that REpower Systems AG – in which Suzlon Energy Limited is the majority shareholder with a holding of over 90 per cent – and Saint-Laurent Énergies inc.     India sets a target of 10,000MW of small biomass projects of capacity 1-2MW in 10 years: Deepak Gupta:Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy

    According to a report, Mr. Deepak Gupta, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, said that the government is  launching a new policy initiative of small biomass plants of 1 to 2 MW.     AWS Truepower to expand Solar mapping services in India

    According to reports, AWS Truepower saw its solar mapping revenue grow from zero to $1 million in 2010, its first year since the Albany wind mapping and monitoring company expanded into the solar industry. CEO Bruce Bailey, a former atmospheric science researcher at the University at Albany, formed AWS in 1985.     LanzaTech, established in 2005 with financial backing from the New Zealand Government and Silicon Valley-based venture capital group Khosla Ventures, has developed and demonstrated a proprietary microbial fermentation process that allows the use of a broad spectrum of waste gas resources for the production of lowest cost fuel ethanol and high-value chemicals.     Mahagenco sets target of 125MW of Solar Power by 2012-Install 4MW Solar Power Plant in Chandrapur
