Rajasthan Government to install 10,000 Solar Water Pumps

Rajasthan government has sent a proposal to the central government under the National Agriculture Development Scheme to install 10,000 solar water pumps in water scare areas. According to an agricultural department official a 5HP pump with save about 25 units of electricity daily. This could lead to an annual savings of about nine crore units. Astonfield and Belectric Team up to Realize 5MW Solar Power Plant in Rajasthan, India

Astonfield seems to have submitted an application for a 5 MW solar power plant in Osiyan, Rajasthan and the project was submitted prior to the new Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission ( JNNSM) and hence is  eligible to be approved under the new migration policy.  The company has indicated that the land for the project has been obtained on a long-term lease  and an agreement of execution has been entered into by Astonfield and Belectric. Hind High Vacuum Company (HHV) of Bangalore, India will build Canada’s first amorphous silicon solar panel manufacturing plant with Solar Source Corp (SSC) of Canada.
