NTPC installs India’s largest floating solar PV plant

McNally Bharat bags Rs. 415-cr solar power project in AP

According to reports, McNally Bharat Engineering Company Ltd has bagged a Rs. 415.29-crore order from Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Ltd. The project entails design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, commissioning and operation and maintenance of 500-MW grid connected solar photo voltaic power project including civil works in Andhra Pradesh, the company informed the BSE. Rewa solar plant to receive loan from World Bank

Canadian Solar to deliver 80MW in India

Canadian Solar has secured power purchase agreements totalling 80MW with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The power will be delivered from projects awarded to Canadian Solar under a 450MW solar capacity tender in the state of Maharashtra. The projects are scheduled to start operations in late 2017. Tata Power Solar expands Bengaluru manufacturing facility

According to reports, Tata Power Solar, India’s largest integrated solar company, has announced a significant expansion and modernisation of its solar cell and module manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. The two-stage expansion doubled the company’s module capacity to 400 from 200 MW, and increased its cell manufacturing capacity by 65 per cent from 180 to 300 MW. IIT Madras Solar Tech aims to go commercial

According to reports, after taking electricity to remote villages in various corners of the country, IIT Madras is gearing up for a pan-India commercial launch of its solar-powered microgrid technology by this year-end. Cochin International Airport Limited’s solar capacity increases by 6MW

According to reports, the solar initiatives of Cochin International Airport Ltd (Cial) was a matter of pride for the entire nation, remarked chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday after inaugurating the solar power expansion capacity of the airport.
