Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd mulling partnership with Toyota Japan to make electric vehicles (EV) in India

According to reports, public sector powerhouse Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) is mulling a partnership with Japanese automaker Toyota to make electric vehicles (EVs) in India, the second fastest growing auto market in the world. Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles launches its Electric Car REVAi in Pune

Just recently, the government had announced incentive for Electric Vehicle makers of upto 20% of ex-factory price. A ceiling of Rs 100,000 has been placed on Electric Cars. PwC Analysis: Brazil, India Leading in Low Carbon Emission Drive Among G20 Countries

India, France may sign pact to promote renewable energy

Looks like the news flow and announcements of investments into India continue unabated. Just a few weeks ago Areva had announced plans of massive investments to the tune of $3 Billion  into India in the Solar CSP space in  the next 5 to 7 years. India in pact with Iceland on tapping geothermal energy

Panchabuta had mentioned a couple of weeks back about Thermax’s partnership with  Iceland firm Reykjavik Geothermal for 3MW project in Ladakh. According to this report, Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah has said that India has signed an agreement with Iceland to tap geothermal energy in the country.”We are going deep under the earth”s surface to tap geothermal energy. Thermax to partner Iceland firm Reykjavik Geothermal for 3MW project in Ladakh

Thermax an energy and environment solution provider based out of Pune, India has been making a lot of acquisitions (read here and here) to add to their boiler offering and the ability to accept various feed stocks that would improve the fuel flexibility for biomass plants in India.
