EEPC projects $5 bn fund flows in India over 3-5 years in renewable energy sector

Renewable Energy Certificate Regulation,2010; to be implemented in India by January 2011: Pramod Deo; Chairman CERC

According to reports, Power sector regulator Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) chairman Pramod Deo who was in Chennai to participate in All India Conference of Chairmen of Central and State Electricity Regulatory Commissions said that the Renewable Energy Certificate Regulation would be implemented by January 2011 and the new PPA signed later would adhere to it.Deo said the process of trading in RECs will start in two months as registration has commenced with the Power System Operation Corporation Ltd (POSOCO). ... NTPC JV with Asian Development Bank (ADB), Kyushu Electric Power Japan to set up 500MW renewable power in 3 years in India

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) today signed a joint venture agreement with India’s NTPC Ltd. and Kyushu Electric Power Company of Japan to develop and operate 500 megawatts of renewable energy projects in India in the next three years. India launches incentive for Electric Vehicle makers of upto 20% of ex-factory price

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) announced a 20 per cent incentive to Electric Vehicle  makers on the ex-factory prices of all electric vehicles, subject to a maximum limit. Two-wheeler makers have also been given a subsidy ceiling of Rs 4,000 for low-speed vehicles and Rs 5,000 for high-speed vehicles. A ceiling of Rs 100,000 has been placed on Electric Cars.
