Suzlon submits Detailed Project Report for 99MW wind farm in Orissa for Rs.6 billion

Suzlon in its latest results announced last Friday, had posted net profit in Q3. What was impressive was the  record order book of $7.3bn equal to about 5000MW of Wind capacity. Suzlon in the last couple of months has been on a trail blazing order booking spree. Suzlon posts net profit in Q3- Record order book of $7.3bn equal to about 5000MW of Wind capacity

Suzlon Energy, reported its latest quarter numbers on Friday last week. According to the company, Net sales fell 20.7% Rs. 4432.90 crore in Q3 December 2010 over Q3 December 2009. The company reported a stand-alone net profit for the third-quarter ended December 31, 2010 of Rs.1.20 crore, compared with a net loss of Rs.285.14 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. NTPC to spend upwards of Rs.56 billion on green projects in next 5 years-300MW of Solar and 175MW of Wind projects

As Panchabuta has reported in November last year, NTPC has signed a joint venture with Asian Development Bank (ADB), Kyushu Electric Power Japan to set up 500MW renewable power in 3 years in India. Under the joint venture agreement, ADB will invest up to 40 million dollars for a 25 percent stake in the company.
