4 Indian solar, wind power firms plan to raise $2.5 billion in offshore bonds

According to reports, four Indian renewable power producers are planning to raise up to $2.5 billion via dollar bonds offshore because of caution among domestic lenders, banking sources said. Telangana set to generate 5000MW solar power by 2019

According to reports,  Telangana is set to cross the 5000 MW solar power generation capacity by 2019 , more than the 1300 MW installed capacity at present. This, officials said, was because the state adopted a distributed development model which is supported by the Centre. India preparing database of R&D accomplishments in renewable energy

Orient Green Power to sell biomass business for Rs 275 crore

According to reports, renewable energy-based power generator Orient Green Power Company Ltd (OGPL) on Friday said its Board of Directors has approved a sale of bulk of its bio-mass business for Rs 275 crore. In a statement here, the company said that the debt-laden and loss-making business will be sold to the promoter company SVL Ltd or its subsidiaries.
