Solar power tariff plunges to record low in Tamil Nadu

According to reports, solar power tariff has hit an all-time low of `3.47 per unit in Tamil Nadu. The tariff has gone below `3 per unit in many states, but this is the first time that a prospective investor has bid so low in Tamil Nadu. Coal India betting big on renewables, says minister

According to reports, Coal India Ltd, the world’s largest miner of the dirty fuel, will generate 1 gigawatt (GW) of renewable electricity this year as part of its plan to produce as much as 10 GW clean power in total, a federal minister said on Thursday. India’s solar power capacity to be 22 GW by March: Piyush Goyal
