GE Energy Financial Services to invest $90 million in RattanIndia’s solar power assets

Govt to map all renewable energy sources in the country

According to reports, the government is preparing a list of all renewable power generation points in the country to aid integration of clean energy with existing sources. Solar energy firms accuse NTPC of delaying issue of CoDs

According to reports, the National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI) has alleged that state-run power giant NTPC and its trading arm NVVN are delaying issue of commercial operation date (CoD) certificate to solar projects. The CoD is a pre-requisite for selling power at the rate prescribed in the power purchase agreement. According to reports, the sustained increase in renewable capacity additions may be unsettling conventional energy businesses. Solar power: US gives India time till year-end to scrap local sourcing rules

Sri Lanka, India to set up solar unit soon
