IFC to provide up to $40m debt to Tata Cleantech Capital

According to reports,   International Finance Corp (IFC) has agreed to provide $40 million worth senior debt to Tata Cleantech Capital Ltd (TCCL). TCCL will subscribe to secured non-convertible debentures, structured as a green bond, to be issued by the company, according to a disclosure. The company will use the proceeds to finance wind, solar and other climate finance projects that meet the green bond eligibility criteria. India, China surpass US as most attractive renewables markets: EY report

According to reports, thanks to strong government support, India has moved up to the second spot in the ‘Renewable energy country attractiveness index’ 2017 from the third position it held for the last two years, said a report released by Ernst & Young. Solar EPC company RaysExperts added 30 MW capacity

According to reports, Indian solar Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company RaysExperts on Tuesday said it has commissioned projects that contributed an addition of 30 megawatt (MW) to Rays Solar Parks in Bikaner, Rajasthan between January and March 2017. “Around 99 per cent of solar EPC companies in India have a total individual portfolio of less than 30 MW – which Rays Experts, in a rare feat of sorts, achieved in just 3 months,” the company said in a statement. Bokaro power plant to foray into solar energy

According to reports, the Bokaro Power Supply Company Limited (BPSCL), a joint venture of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), is set to increase its power production by diversifying into power general from solar energy.
