Government to issue quality order on solar modules in a month

According to reports, the government will in a month issue a quality order on purchase of solarmodules by power companies, power, coal, renewable energy and mines minister Piyush Goyal said on. “We will soon issue a quality order on solar modules. Supreme Court stays trading of renewable energy certificates

According to reports, the Supreme Court has stayed trading in Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), whose prices have been reduced by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC). REC-generating companies had filed the petition in the court against the CERC action.  The court on Monday also stayed the new price regime introduced by the CERC, said sources privy to the hearing.
