Solar power capacity crosses 12 GW last year

According to reports, with the NDA government aggressively pushing green energy projects, India’s solar power capacity crossed 12 GW, with the addition of 5,525 MW solar power generation capacity last fiscal year. JA solar exports 1,000 MW solar modules to India

JA Solar, a leading Chinese company has exported solar modules with a total capacity of 1,000 MW to India. The company is into manufacturing of silicone wafers, cells and modules used in solar PV systems. Govt to give customs, excise duty benefits to boost solar rooftop sector

Solar targets: High time government takes cognizance of huge potential of BIPV

According to reports, BUILDING INTEGRATED photovoltaic has a much wider application than rooftop solar alone. Gamesa India commissions more than 2 GW wind capacity in a year

According to reports, Gamesa India has commissioned 2,050 MW of wind power capacity in India during 2016–17. The Indian arm of the Spanish wind turbine maker is the first ever wind company in the country to have achieved this capacity in a year. The company has doubled its efforts as compared to last year.
