SIDBI puts Rs 20 crore in solar installation startup Oriano Solar through its private arm

According to reports,  Samridhi Fund, a Rs 450-crore fund owned by the private investment arm of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), has agreed to make a Rs 20-crore investment in Mumbai-based solar installation startup Oriano Solar. NTPC plans expansion of solar power generation capacity

According to reports, the NTPC, Kayamkulam, has plans to expand solar power generation on the premises of the thermal plant at Kayamkulam. The public sector company had successfully launched production of 100 kWp from a floating solar project at Kayamkulam recently. Indian Railways’ solar mission gathers steam; roof top plant in Patiala

According to reports, Railways have joined hands with power equipment maker BHEL for setting up of a roof top solar power plant in Patiala to meet the energy demands of the Diesel-Loco Modernisation Works in that city. The public transporter has also completed installing solar panels on about 21 roof tops of coaches, guard vans, rail workshops and production units across the country to promote clean energy and reducing electricity consumption substantially.
