Solar module maker Waaree Energies looks to raise $100m

According to reports, Waaree Energies Ltd, one of India’s largest solar module manufacturers, has appointed consulting firm EY to raise around $100 million. The fundraising effort comes in the backdrop of falling solar power tariffs because of plunging prices of solar modules. Solar park tenders, power purchase on hold as Rewa bids disrupt market

According to reports, the low bid received for the Rewa solar park in Madhya Pradesh has jolted the market in many ways. While most states are rethinking their tenders, many have gone slow on buying solar power contracted at higher rates. Low bids hurt IRR of solar power developers, aggressive bids to continue

According to reports, the falling bid spiral for solar power in this fiscal is likely to spill over to coming year. Annual conference on wind energy in Delhi next month
