Rewa solar plant to receive loan from World Bank

Draft Tariff Norms Spark Worries Over Power Grid, NTPC Earnings

According to reports, stocks of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. and NTPC Ltd. have fallen 3-7 percent over the past month on fears that the government may bring down regulated returns for conventional utilities. Canadian Solar to deliver 80MW in India

Canadian Solar has secured power purchase agreements totalling 80MW with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The power will be delivered from projects awarded to Canadian Solar under a 450MW solar capacity tender in the state of Maharashtra. The projects are scheduled to start operations in late 2017. Tata Power Solar expands Bengaluru manufacturing facility

According to reports, Tata Power Solar, India’s largest integrated solar company, has announced a significant expansion and modernisation of its solar cell and module manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. The two-stage expansion doubled the company’s module capacity to 400 from 200 MW, and increased its cell manufacturing capacity by 65 per cent from 180 to 300 MW. Trai extends industry feedback deadlines again on ways to cut telco carbon emissions

According to reports, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) has for a second time extended the deadlines for stakeholder comments and counter-comments on its discussion paper on ways to reduce carbon emissions in the telecom industry and computing carbon footprint in mobile networks. The telecom regulator has now sought comments on the discussion paper by April 3 and counter-comments by April 17.
