Aditya Birla Group, Lotus Renewables to launch $100m clean energy fund

According to reports, Aditya Birla Group along with Lotus Renewables is set to launch a $100 million Global Clean Energy Fund targeted at developing countries in Asia, including India, as well as Australia. “Currently we are looking Asia and Australia as a market to start with . Madurai Corporation to promote solar energy in a big way

According to reports, the civic body that has installed 44 kW capacity solar panels atop the roof of Anna Maaligai, its office, at a cost of Rs 55 lakh in 2016, a first-of-its-kind in Tamil Nadu, is reaping the benefits now handsomely. BEML inaugurates 200 KW rooftop solar project in Mysore

According to reports, State-run BEML today announced inauguration of a 200 KW grid-connected rooftop solar project in Mysore. “With the installation and commissioning of the rooftop solar project, BEML inches towards achieving the target of utilising 100 per cent renewable energy for captive consumption,” the company said in a statement. ABB India crosses 4.5 GW mark with over 2,000 wind power generators

According to reports, in an important milestone for India’s journey towards 24×7 power for all based on green energy, ABB India on Thursday said it has surpassed the 4.5GW mark with the delivery of over 2,000 wind power generators across the country. Currently, India has installed capacity of 28 GW of wind-generated electricity. Around 10 percent of this was installed in 2015.
