Not too happy with the budget: Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association

Budget 2017 gives big boost to renewable energy

According to reports, the Budget has given a boost to renewable energy, announcing another 20,000 mw of solar park development in phase II and a slew of duty reductions on components for fuel cell-based power generating and biogas systems, as well as wind energy equipment. Maharashtra’s hopes soar on solar power boost

According to reports, Maharashtra is expected to get a few more solar power projects in the 20,000 MW solar power capacity addition proposed in the Union Budget. This capacity addition is for phase two of the Union government’s solar power park project.  A 150 MW solar power project of the Maharashtra State Power generation Company Ltd is already running at Dhule. NLC draws up big plans for solar power

According to reports, buoyed by the success of its pilot solar plant, NLC India Ltd. has unveiled plans for installing power plants with net capacity of 500 MW at an estimated cost of Rs. 2,170 crore at various places in Tamil Nadu. Phase II of solar park gets green signal

According to reports, finance minister Arun Jaitley Wednesday announced that the Centre would take up the second phase of solar park development for an additional capacity of 20,000 MW. The first scheme for “Development of Solar Parks and Ultra Mega Solar Power Projects” was rolled on December 12, 2014, with a target of 20,000 MW.
