Neyveli Lignite Corp invites global companies to set up solar power projects

According to reports, NLC India Ltd has invited applications from global companies to set up 250 MW solar photo-voltaic power projects in Odisha. AMP Solar FDI proposal rejected by Government

Inter-ministerial body FIPB today approved six investment proposals, including that of Sanofi Synthelabo India, Star Den Media Services and Idea Cellular Infrastructure Services, envisaging foreign investment of Rs 1,200 crore. “Six out of 17 FDI proposals got the approval,” sources said. Telangana aims at top spot in solar generation

According to reports, Telangana currently stands at second rank in solar power production in the country and it may reach the top spot in another six months, state power minister G Jagadish Reddy said here today. 2.51 lakh RECs traded in December: IEX

According to reports, a total of 2.51 lakh renewable energy certificates (RECs) were traded in December, power exchange IEX said. “A total of 2.51 lakh RECs were traded in the REC trading session held on 28th December, 2016 at IEX,” it said in a statement.
