SunEdison Spinoff TerraForm Files for IPO, to raise upto $1.19 billion

SunEdison, Inc. (NYSE: SUNE) today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, TerraForm Global, Inc. (“TerraForm Global”), intends to commence an initial public offering of its Class A common stock on July 20, 2015.  Application has been made for listing of the Class A common stock of TerraForm Global on the NASDAQ Global Select Market under the symbol “GLBL.” J.P. Windmill owners facing challenges in Tamil Nadu

According to reports, lack of clarity in corridor policy and delayed payment is taking away investment in wind mills from Tamil Nadu to other states, Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA) said today. “Windmill owners in the state are facing challenges of non-availability of grid for evacuation of power or grid back on the wind power, coupled with delayed payments,” IWTMA Chairman Madhusudan Khemka told reporters here. Maruti Suzuki focuses on solar power for captive generation

According to reports, Maruti Suzuki India will now increasingly focus on solar and other clean energy to meet its captive requirement. This is in line with its parent company Suzuki Corporation’s policy and philosophy. Havells to launch solar LED lighting products

According to reports, electrical equipment-maker, Havells India is planning to launch solar LED-based lighting products “shortly”. The solar LED lighting system will be based on technology developed by Bengaluru-based Promptec Renewable Energy Solutions, a company in which Havells acquired a majority 51 per cent stake earlier this year. “We are looking to launch solar LED lighting products shortly,” YK Gupta, Associate Director, Havells India, told reporters during a press conference here in the city.
