Canadian JV Sarus plans 500 MW solar park in Maharashtra

According to reports, Sarus Solar, a joint venture of three Canadian firms is planning to invest around Rs 6,500 crore to set up a 500 MW solar photo-voltaic farm in Maharashtra. India, US to create Rs 50-cr fund to promote clean energy

According to reports, India and the US have entered into an agreement to set up a Rs 50-crore fund to support clean energy by providing financial support to develop and test innovative products, systems and business models. “India and the United States of America signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation to establish the PACESetter Fund,” a New and Renewable Energy Ministry press release said. BHEL commissions 10 MW solar power plant in Karnataka

According to reports, State-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited has commissioned a 10 MW solar plant for Karnataka Power Corporation Limited in that state. Significantly, this is also the largest solar power plant commissioned for KPCL till date in Karnataka, BHEL said in a statement.
