Hilliard Energy plans to set up 650 MW renewable energy projects in Andhra Pradesh

According to reports, Hilliard Energy Limited has expressed its intent to set up a multi-phase 650 MW solar and wind energy project in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. Punjab gets two solar power projects

According to reports, two solar power projects were inaugurated here today by Punjab New and Renewable Energy Minister Bikram Singh Majithia. With 64 MW installed capacity of solar power, the district has emerged as the torch bearer for solar energy platform in Punjab, he said on the occasion. Solar power to get cheaper in Gujarat

According to reports, with cost of setting up solar power projects coming down, the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) has proposed to reduce the solar power tariff for new plants coming up in the state. For the first time, the electricity regulator will be introducing the reverse bidding system for sale of solar power in the state. All households will have to harness solar energy – Kerala Minister

According to reports, the government will soon make harnessing solar energy mandatory for all households in the State. In reply to a question in the Assembly on Tuesday, Minister for Power Aryadan Muhammed said the government would soon issue orders to this effect. Already, harnessing solar energy had been made mandatory at all government offices.
