US Ex-Im bank suspends $1 billion loan for energy in India

According to reports, the US Export-Import Bank’s $1 billion programme to boost India’s clean-energy industry has been suspended after the institution’s lending authority lapsed, an Indian government official working on the project said. Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd (Ireda), signed a memorandum of understanding with the US export credit bank in November covering the programme. India feels the heat in WTO solar dispute with US

According to reports, India might once again face flak at the World Trade Organization’s dispute settlement body over its solar mission programme case against the US even as the verdict is expected by end of August. Wind turbine maker Gamesa marks entry into solar with 10 MW order

According to reports, wind turbine manufacturer, Gamesa India, today announced its entry into the Indian market for building solar projects for energy companies with orders from three Tamil Nadu-based textile units, for 10 MW. Andaman to get biomass power plant
