Sterling and Wilson commissions 30 MW solar PV plant for SunEdison in MP

According to reports, Sterling and Wilson has commissioned SunEdison’s 30 MW Solar PV Power Plant in Sitamau, Mandsaur district in Madhya Pradesh. This is part of the 50 MW solar plant inaugurated by SunEdison on Tuesday. The solar PV plant set up by Sterling and Wilson has deployed the tracker system technology for SunEdison. Green Energy Corridor to avert Massive Loss in Transmission

According to reports, one major issue plaguing the Renewable Energy (RE) companies is wastage of billions of units of power during transmission from generator to grid. Tamil Nadu offers subsidy to boost roof top solar units

According to reports, the Tamil Nadu Government would like installation of roof top solar plants to become a people’s movement, as had happened with rain water harvesting in the State. The State offers a subsidy of ₹20,000 to install roof top solar units. This is in addition to the 30 per cent subsidy offered by the Centre.
