Suzlon bags orders for 370MW

According to reports, Indian turbine manufacturer Suzlon signed contracts for 370MW of hardware in the fourth quarter of financial year 2013-14.

The company said its order book stands at $7.7bn and destinations for its machines include Germany, the UK, India and Belgium.

The latest annual Global Wind Turbine OEM Market Share report by MAKE reveals Suzlon has also retained its ranking as the fifth-largest manufacturer globally with a market share of 6.3%.

Suzlon Group head of corporate finance Kirti Vagadia said: “The orders represent not only the rapid globalization of our business but also the value proposition Suzlon has to offer to its clients.”
