According to reports, German manufacturer Senvion has surpassed more than 10GW of installed capacity worldwide, following a strong start to 2014.
The Suzlon Group subsidiary has installed 7.5GW in Europe, with 2.8GW in Germany alone by the end of 2013.
A further 1.5GW is installed inFrance and 1.1GW in the UK.
In North America, Senvion is active with a total of 1.8GW of installed capacity.
Asian countries contribute 375MW, while the company’s Australians subsidiary contributes 196MW.
Senvion CEO Andreas Nauensaid: “A total of 10GW of installed capacity on four continents in more than 10 countries documents impressively that we have the right products for the global market – from our tallest turbine measuring 200 metres in height for low-wind locations in inland areas to powerful offshore machines.
“It was only recently that we founded a subsidiary in Austria. Turkey, India and Japan are other interesting markets we have our sights on.”
