Jakson Group eyes Rs 600 crore revenue in FY 2017 from solar projects

According to reports, Jakson Group, a leading provider of power solutions announced a blueprint to up the revenue share in its total earnings from solar business. As part of this strategy the company is targeting revenues of Rs 600 crore by March 2017, through expanding its solar power production, mobile and containerised solar gensets, and EPC portfolio.

The company also plans to increase its solar business presence in overseas markets of West Asia and Africa.

“We are very optimistic about the future of our solar business vertical and we are moving steadily to achieve our desired target. We at Jakson Group believe in technological innovations, which are future ready, efficient and environment friendly. We are hoping to cross our revenue targets by 2017 through our Solar Business Channel,” said Sundeep Gupta, joint MD, Jakson Group.

The company commissioned its first 20 MW solar power plant at BAP, Jodhpur District, Rajasthan in February, 2013 with an investment of Rs 200 crore. The company plans to further expand the capacity from 20 MW to 100 MW. The company is also implementing a 10 MW solar project in Bundelkhand, Uttar Pradesh, at an investment of Rs 80 crore.

Apart from this, the company plans to enter into Indian defence sector with a vision to become an integral part of the indigenization drive started by ministry of defence.
