According to reports, students promoted the use of solar concepts for the city at the 39th science exhibition organized by the Zilla Parishad for Thane Municipal Corporation schools at the Thane taluka level.
Students from around 150 schools from the city participated in the exhibition that gave them a platform to showcase their talent.
The exhibition will be open for visitors till Monday, January 13, at Shree Mavli Mandal High School, Thane, between 10am to 5pm.
Among the notable projects on display were related to agriculture, energy, environment, health and resources.
“The aim of the exhibition is to bring out the hidden talents among the students and help create a scientific vision among them. The exhibition is categorized into four groups for the primary and secondary section and one for the teaching staff and lab assistants,” said M R Yadav, a member of the organizing committee.
Students who had prepared several projects were seen interacting with the guests. The students were seen promoting the use of solar concepts for the city.–Manoj Badgeri among the guests. MP Naik was also requested by the students to ensure implementation of solar concept projects for Thane city.
The projects made by students would be judged by eminent panel of judges on Monday.
