Bids submission date extended for solar projects

According to reports, Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has extended the deadline for submission of bids for solar PV (photovoltaic) projects under Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) Batch 2 Phase 1 to January 20, 2014 from the earlier fixed date of December 28. Gujarat’s first solar rooftop project generates 1.2 million units in six months

According to reports, the state’s first roof-top solar energy project in Gandhinagar that started operating this year has so far generated a total of 1.2 million units of solar power.
