NSL Power to invest $45 mn to set up windfarms in Maharashtra

According to reports, NSL Power, which plans to invest $45 million to set up new wind farms in Maharashtra, is planning to raise around $15.75 million from the International Finance Corporation. NSL Renewable Power Private Limited is the ‘Sponsor’ for Jath Wind Energy Private Limited. IFC is an equity holder in the Sponsor, holding 7.9% on a fully diluted basis. ‘Green Energy Corridor’ projects get international aid

According to reports, working to setting up commercial cooperation in renewable energy with developed and developing countries, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has firmed up international cooperation agreements with Germany and United States to establish “Green Energy Corridors” in the country. Solar power system to be installed in Odisha police stations

According to reports, solar power system will soon be installed in police stations in Odisha, where supply of electricity is important for implementation of the much talked about Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and System (CCTNS). “We have entered into an agreement with state-owned Odisha Renewal Energy Development Agency (OREDA) for installation of solar power system in some police stations,” Director of State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB), M Akhaya, said. Germany woos Indian investors

Master plan finalised to develop 36 cities as solar cities

According to reports, the government today said it has finalised the master plan to develop 36 cities as solar or green cities.
