Ming Yang Wins First 150-Megawatt Turbine Order in India

According to reports, China Ming Yang Wind Power Group Ltd. (MY) won a 150-megawatt order in India after becoming the first Chinese turbine maker to receive approval to sell machines in Asia’s second-biggest wind market as sales slow at home. Sale of solar power to electricity dept: project on track again

Energy Efficient street lights with timers on cards in Bhubaneswar

According to reports, energy-efficient street lights will soon replace the old lot in the city and help the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) cut down on hefty electricity bills by almost Rs 2 crore. Alstom T & D India Ltd. has bagged two contracts for around Rs.151 crore from Gujarat Energy Transmission Co. Ltd. (GETCO) for supplying 400/220/66kV A/S substation located at Charanka and Sankhari on turnkey basis to evacuate power from Asia’s largest and Gujarat’s first-dedicated solar park.
