BSNL to open bids for solar-powered 2G mobile towers in Naxal areas: Report

According to reports, state-owned telecom firm BSNL is likely to open within 10-12 days the financial bids for the tender to set up mobile towers in states affected by Naxal violence. More schools in Coimbatore to get solar cookers

According to reports, after experimenting with solar power in cooking noon meal for students in a corporation school, the Coimbatore Corporation has decided to provide them to a few more schools. EU imposes anti-dumping measures on Chinese solar panels

According to reports, the European Union will on Friday begin imposing anti-dumping measures on some Chinese solar panels whose manufacturers rejected an amicable settlement. The two-year measures will enter into force on Friday December 6, said the EU Commission, and will apply to those panels produced by Chinese manufacturers who rejected a deal to diffuse a brewing trade war. Alstom bags Rs 79 cr order from PowerGrid

According to reports, Alstom T&D India today said it has bagged Rs 79-crore contract from state-run Power Grid Corporation for supplying equipment at substations in Uttar Pradesh. “Alstom T&D India has won an order worth Rs 79 crore (9 million euro) from Power Grid Corporation to provide reactors for substations at Kanpur and Jhatikara in Uttar Pradesh,” the company said in a statement.
