V-Guard Industries announced the commissioning of India’s largest solar water heater manufacturing facility at Perundurai, Tamil Nadu.
The plant, with a capacity to produce 90,000 units of solar water heaters annually, will be formally inaugurated tomorrow, marking a new chapter and it will be India’s largest integrated manufacturing facility for polymer tanks and stainless steel tanks for the solar water heaters.
The company has invested Rs 180 million in this complex, which includes a 37,500 sqft commercial warehouse.
Commenting on the occasion, V Ramachandran – director, marketing and strategy, V-Guard Industries said, ”Our new facility is a milestone for us because it will revolutionize the solar water heater industry in the country. Through this state-of-the art facility, we aim to reach the No.1 position in the solar water heater category in the next two years. With this new plant becoming fully operational, we will also intend to export our products in coming years.”
The products manufactured from this facility will be superior in quality and performance and be available at an optimized cost to the end customer. A part of the production facility will be utilized in catering to the overseas market in the coming years.
