Gamesa India bags Golden Peacock Environment Award 2013

Gamesa Wind Turbines Pvt. Ltd. a global technological leader in the wind industry, has won the prestigious “Golden Peacock Environment Management Award 2013”. Mr. Subrata Bose, General Manager-Quality and Environment, Gamesa India received the award from Dr. M. Veerappa Moily, Honourable Union Minister for Oil and Natural Gas at a glittering function held on 20th July, 2013 at the Ashok Hotel, New Delhi. A commendation winner certificate and a plaque of honour formed part of the award.

In yet another related development, the Greentech Foundation has declared Gamesa India for the “Greentech Safety Award-2013”

This award will be presented on September 3, 2013 in Goa at a function to be organised at the Hotel Cidade de coinciding with the Foundation’s 12th Annual Greentech Fire, Safety, and Security Conference. The Union Minister for Shipping, Shri. G.K. Vasan, and the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Shri. Manohar Parrikar, will be the Chief Guests at the award presentation ceremony in the presence of a host of Labour Ministers from various States and other Members of Parliament.

Gamesa India has made a benchmark as a multi-national company winning consecutively for the third time on a row. The new one is the Greentech Safety Award-2013, the earlier one was the CII-EHS Excellence award and the previous one was the   Golden Peacock Occupational Health and Safety Award.
