Green energy programme inaugurated in Udupi, Karnataka

According to reports, Vinay Kumar Sorake, minister for urban development and Udupi district in-charge, on Tuesday inaugurated the coastal regional office of Sri KshetraDharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) at PragathiSoudha in Brahmagiri here.

“With the population of the country is growing we need to start new project to ensure uninterrupted power supply to all. However, attempts should be made not to hamper the nature in the process,” he said.

Presiding over the programme D Veerendra Heggade, dharmadhikari, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, said that the coastal region office of the project will cover seven districts – Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Shimoga, Chikmagalur, Kodagu, and Kasargod.

Zilla panchayat president Upendra Nayak unveiled the green energy programme.
