Gamesa India bags 46 MW wind farm order from ITC

Gamesa Wind Turbines Private Limited has signed a 46 MW Wind Power Project Order with ITC Paperboards and Specialty Papers Division.
Under this contract Gamesa would be supplying 23 units G97-2.0 MW turbines to ITC at Tagguparthi,  Andhra Pradesh. The commissioning is scheduled to be completed in Q1 2014.

Gamesa would be undertaking the full scope of site development, supply & commissioning of the turbines and Operation & Maintenance.

Commenting on this order, the Chairman and Managing Director of Gamesa India. Mr. Ramesh Kymal, was confident that this would further spur growth in the renewable energy as a whole and wind energy in particular.

“We take great pride in partnering with a reputed company like ITC that prides on its Sustainability Initiatives. With this business deal, Gamesa India makes a strong foot hold in the state of Andhra Pradesh.” Mr. Kymal added.

Recently Gamesa India had also acquired two major orders from Greenko and CLP India, totaling 230MW with an option to further supply 200 MW to Greenko.
