Solar Energy Corporation of India to appoint two directors

Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI)  is  registered under Section 25 of Companies Act, 1956, as a Company not for profit, under the administrative control of the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE). The company was incorporated with an authorized capital of Rs 2000 crore. US’ First Solar eyes 25% market share in Indian solar manufacturing

According to reports, amidst opposition from the domestic solar equipment sector over cheaper imported contents, US based First Solar is unperturbed. It is looking at 25% market share in the coming three years in the Indian solar equipment sector. Tata Power generates 50 MUs of solar, 800 MUs of wind energy in FY13

According to reports, Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power utility, on Tuesday said it generated 49.83 million units of solar power and 796 MUs of wind power from its various projects in India, until March 31, 2013. As part of its sustainability initiative, the company is committed to generating 20-25% of its total generation capacity from clean energy sources.
