Vestas says fraud squad investigating ex-finance chief over two India agreements

According to reports, the former chief financial officer of Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (VWS.CO) is being investigated by the country’s fraud squad over two agreements he made with an Indian firm, Vestas said. Vestas said it had contacted Denmark’s State Prosecutor for Serious Economic and International Crime in December, but only made that public on Friday. Vikram Solar to setup a 10 MW solar power plant in Tamil Nadu

According to reports, Kolkata-based solar company Vikram Solar is planning to put up a 10 MW power plant at Tamil Nadu under the second phase of the state’s solar policy. The company, which manufactures solar modules and does EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) projects, is keen on getting into project development as well, the managing director of the company, Gyanesh Chaudhary, said. Wind energy to light up Maoist-hit Bastar

According to reports, if the efforts of the Chhattisgarh government produce results, the day is not far when wind energy would illuminate houses in the Maoist insurgency-hit Bastar district, an official said Thursday. Outages back in Tamil Nadu as wind plays hide and seek

According to reports, after a brief lull in electricity outages due to high output by windmills, Tamil Nadu Electricity Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) has been forced to revert to unscheduled power cuts of around 10 hours due to dip in wind power generation and outages in units of three power stations, including Madras Atomic Power Station. Inter-ministerial panel for greater clarity in solar policy

According to reports, in the wake of allegations of guideline violation in contract allocations in the national solar mission, an inter-ministerial committee has suggested a number of recommendations for bringing greater clarity in the policy.
