Push for green tech in telecom towers

According to reports, the government’s attempts to promote renewable power replacing diesel-guzzling telecom towers dotting the country may have run aground. Exim Bank secures 150-mn euro loan to fund green projects

According to reports, the Exim Bank on Thursday said it has signed an agreement for a 20-year 150-million euro laon from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to support projects that contribute to climate change mitigation. The borrowings under the facility will enable Exim Bank to lend for energy projects, notably wind, solar photovoltaic, concentrated solar power, hydro-power, geothermal, biomass and efficient co-generation, Exim bank said in a statement. Suzlon loses top spot in India wind market installations

According to reports, Suzlon Energy Ltd ceded its position as India’s top wind-turbine supplier in the year ended 31 March for the first time in at least a decade, according to figures from an industry group.
