Solar workshop draws big response from college students

Private Equity players invest $320 million this year in renewable energy sector

Govt to invite bids for phase-II of solar mission only in May

According to reports, Invitation of bids for grid-connected projects under the second phase of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) may get pushed back by a month or two, as the Government is yet to decide on covering more products under domestic sourcing norms. According to reports, India, which plans to raise solar capacity eightfold by 2017, will probably auction more megawatts than planned this fiscal year in a bid to cut chronic power shortages in the world’s second most-populous nation. Solar issue: India, US to hold talks in Geneva on March 21

According to reports, India and the US will hold consultations under the aegis of WTO on March 20-21 in Geneva on American allegations of discrimination against its products by New Delhi’s national solar mission. “We have fixed March 20-21 for consultations. Kerala plans for 350 MW solar capacity in 4 years

According to reports, Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) plans to create solar energy capacity of 350 MW during the next four year-period, according to Aryadan Mohammed, electricity minister.
