Under Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY), 40 projects (25 projects in X Plan and 15 projects in XI Plan) of Rajasthan were sanctioned for electrification of 4,339 un/de-electrified villages (UEV), intensive electrification of 34,783 partially electrified villages (PEV) and release of free electricity connections to 12,24,417 Below Poverty Line ( BPL) households.
Cumulatively, as on 31.01.2013, the electrification works in 4,102 UE villages, 32,294 PE villages have been completed and free electricity connections to 11,20,242 BPL households have been released under the scheme.
A total of 2,213 UE villages and 14,829 PE villages have been electrified under RGGVY during the last three years in Rajasthan as under:

Government has proposed to continue RGGVY in 12th Plan for covering remaining villages/habitations and BPL families as per availability of funds.
