Pune Municipal Corporation waste plant to generate 10 MW electricity

According to reports, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC)’s Rochem Green plant to generate energy from waste will soon start generating 10 mega watt electricity. “The plant currently uses 300 metric tonne waste to generate 3 mega watt electricity. It will soon upgraded to take 700 metric tonne waste to generate 10 mega watt electricity,” said Suresh Jagtap, joint commissioner and incharge of municipal solid waste at PMC. India’s first viability-gap funded transmission project inaugurated

According to reports, India’s first viability-gap funded, 99-km power transmission line project, in Haryana, was inaugurated on Monday. The 400 KV double circuit Jharli-Kabulpur-Rohtak line was built by a joint venture of Kalpataru Power Transmission and Techno Electric and Engineering Company. The Rs 444-crore public-private-partnership project with the Haryana Government has received Rs 92 crore of viability gap funding from Government of India. Tangedco told to pay dues to PPN Power Company

According to reports, the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity has upheld the decision of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission in a case relating to a dispute between Tamil Nadu’s electricity distribution company, Tangedco, and a private power generator, PPN Power Company. The dispute involves payment by Tangedco to PPN an amount of Rs 190 crore plus running interest charges. Jakson Power plans 100 mw solar power capacity in next 3 years

According to reports, Jakson Power Solutions is aiming commissioning 100 MW of solar power generation capacity in next 3 years. The Delhi NCR headquartered company that announced commissioning of its first 20 mw project on 100 acres in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan has also acquired 250 acres of additional land to scale up capacity. Morgan Stanley-Backed Continuum Gets Loan for India Wind Farm

Earlier last month we had mentioned that a consortium led by the State Bank of India (SBI) funded Rs. 900 crore  to Bothe Windfarm Development, a project company of Continuum Wind Energy. According to reports today, Continuum Wind Energy, backed by Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners LP, received a 9-billion rupee ($164 million) loan from banks for a wind farm in India. BS Enviro acquires 51% in Skywater India

According to reports, BS Enviro Solutions Limited, a newly-incorporated subsidiary of Hyderabad-based telecom infrastructure company BS Limited, has acquired a 51% stake in air-to-water generators’ manufacturer Skywater India Private Limited. Skywater, a part of New York-based private investment fund Harbinger Capital Partners, has its research and development (R&D) facility and a manufacturing plant with an installed capacity to churn out 200 units of air-to-water generators a month in Hyderabad.
