Punjab signs PPA for purchase of power from 1.5 MW solar power plant

According to reports, Er.K.D.Chaudhri, Chairman cum Managing Director, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited informed that PSPCL has today signed Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with M/s. Enterprises Business Solution (EBS) Pvt. Ltd., Mohali for purchase of 1.5 MW Solar Power from Solar Power Project established by firm at Village Shadra-Sahiba, Tehsil Balachour Distt. SBS Nagar, Punjab.

The total cost of project is around Rs.18 crores with which 22.50 lac units per year will be added to the availability of power to PSPCL. The agreement has been signed to purchase power at rates to be decided by Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission and remain operational for period of 25 years.

CMD said that the implementation of the project will generate employment and facilitate harnessing of Renewable Energy. This project will also help in meeting RPO (Renewable Purchase Obligation) targets fixed by PSERC.

Er. Arun Verma, Director/Distribution signed agreement on behalf of PSPCL and Tejinder Pal Singh Ahuja, Authorized Signatory on behalf of M/s Enterprises Business Solution (EBS) Pvt. Ltd., Mohali.
