PR Fonroche and Mahindra EPC realize first Indo-French solar power investments

PR Fonroche, a joint-venture between PR Clean Energy (India) and Fonroche Energie S.a.s (France), has collaborated with Mahindra EPC, to commission two solar photo voltaic based power plants (5 MWp and 15 MWp) at Gajner Village in Bikaner, Rajasthan. These projects were awarded under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission’s Phase I Batch II scheme. Solar Energy Society takes Tangedco to court

According to reports, the Solar Energy Society of India has filed a case against the Tamil Nadu’s State-owned electricity generation and distribution company, Tangedco, over the recently closed tender for the purchase of solar power. According to reports, Er.K.D.Chaudhri, Chairman cum Managing Director, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited informed that PSPCL has today signed Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with M/s. Enterprises Business Solution (EBS) Pvt. Ltd., Mohali for purchase of 1.5 MW Solar Power from Solar Power Project established by firm at Village Shadra-Sahiba, Tehsil Balachour Distt. Nalco commissions first wind power project

According to reports, National Aluminium Co Ltd (Nalco) has commissioned its first wind power project at Gandikota in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. The Government-owned company invested Rs 275 crore for the 50-MW Suzlon-erected project. Nalco signed a power purchase agreement with the State’s power transmission utility Transco last week and has begun injection of power to the State grid, B.L. According to reports, with the installation of the rooftop solar power plant at the Science Centre in City Light nearing completion, the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) is planning to inaugurate during the upcoming visit of Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi in the city next week. Welspun Energy to sign MoUs with GEDA

According to reports, Welspun Energy Ltd today informed that the company would sign memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with Gujarat Energy Development Authority (GEDA) for 200 megawatts of renewable energy certificates (RECs).
