Tamil Nadu solar tender attracts bids from 86 bidders for 499 MW across 105 projects

Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in October this year unveiled an ambitious Solar Energy Policy 2012, aimed at generating 3,000 MW in next the three years from 2013 (1,000 MW per year). Power Grid to invest Rs 1.83 billion for project in Tamil Nadu

According to reports, central transmission utility Power Grid Corp today said its board has approved an investment of Rs 182.80 crore for a project in Tamil Nadu. The investment would be made for “Common Transmission Scheme associated with ISGS Projects in Nagapattinam/Cuddalore area of Tamil Nadu – Part-A1 (a)”, the company said in a regulatory filing. Indian Govt plans subsidy to boost electric, hybrid vehicle sales

Andhra Pradesh to invite bids for mini hydel power projects
