NuPower Renewables gets Rs.7.5 billion Punjab National Bank funding for Tamil Nadu wind farm

According to reports, NuPower Renewables Ltd , a Mumbai-based wind energy firm, has raised Rs. 750 crore via a 12-year term loan from Punjab National Bank ( PNB ), according to two persons with direct knowledge of the issue but who declined to be named. India’s IL&FS Said to Plan Singapore IPO for Wind Power

According to reports, Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Ltd., an Indian company whose shareholders include Japan’s Orix Corp. (8591) and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, is planning an initial public offering of its wind power unit in Singapore, said three people with knowledge of the matter. Haryana signs pacts for setting up biomass power projects

According to reports, Haryana Government has signed Memorandum of Understating with four Independent Power Producers for setting up of five biomass power projects of 51 MW capacities with an investment of Rs. 230 crore. Out of these, two projects are likely to be commissioned soon. A spokesman of Renewable Energy Department said that Haryana was one of the leading State in implementing energy conservation programmes. Veer Energy Buys New Millennium Solar Panels for India Project

According to reports, Veer Energy & Infrastructure Ltd. (JHI), a Mumbai-based wind-power developer, bought solar panels for its first project in India from U.S.-based New Millennium Solar Equipment Corp. Veer plans to install 400 thin-film panels of 58.5 watts each for a rooftop project in the Sanand district of the western Indian state of Gujarat, the company said in a filing today. Renewable energy trade picks up speed in India

According to reports, Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) trade —  a mechanism to trade renewable energy including solar, wind, biomass and small hydro projects on platforms similar to stock exchanges — is slowly gaining ground in India.
