Suzlon shares fall on bond repayment extension plea

According to reports, shares of India’s largest wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy today declined 4% to close at Rs 16.45 on Bombay Stock Exchange  after the company sought four extra moths to redeem bonds.  The scrip touched a low of Rs 16.25 in intra day trade. Blackouts Spur $18 Billion Power Grid Upgrade: Corporate India

According to reports, Power Grid Corp. of India Ltd., the nation’s largest electricity transmission company, may exceed a 1 trillion rupee ($18 billion) spending plan to upgrade its network and avoid a repeat of the world’s biggest blackout. Mysore City Corporation vehicles to run on biodiesel

According to reports, the Mysore City Corporation (MCC) has started using biodiesel, an eco-friendly fuel, for running some of its vehicles. The Biofuel Information and Demonstration Centre, set up by the Karnataka State Biofuel Board with the support of National Institute of Engineering (NIE) on the NIE campus here, will provide biodiesel to the corporation. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation ropes in IIM-A startup for LED streetlights

According to reports, the Gandhi bridge in Ahmedabad will soon get eco friendly streetlights, courtesy a venture by an Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) alumni. According to reports, Chandigarh has taken a step towards making Chandigarh a Model Solar City in the country with the inauguration and commissioning of the 50 KWp Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant at the UT Secretariat building, Sector 9, Chandigarh. Suzlon subsidiary REpower bags windfarm project in Austria

According to reports, Suzlon Group subsidiary REpower Systems today said it has signed a 25.6-MW contract with Windkraft Simonsfeld to supply eight turbines for its windfarm project in Austria. “REpower signed a contract with the Austrian operator Windkraft Simonsfeld for supplying eight 3.2 M114 wind turbines,” the company said in a statement.
