First Solar Partners with Green Infra on 25MW Solar Power Project in Rajasthan

First Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq: FSLR) and Green Infra Limited today announced they have concluded an agreement for the supply of First Solar’s advanced, thin-film solar modules for a 25 megawattAC (MW) project in India’s Rajasthan state. Karnataka village to get 500MW solar park

According to reports, desperate to tide over the power crisis, the state government is now gearing up to tap solar power in a big way. Orient Green expanding biomass power generation

According to reports, Orient Green Power Company Ltd will add over 45 MW of biomass power plant generation capacity by March 2013. The Shriram EPC Group Company is looking at a novel approach to secure at least a portion of its biomass — fuel wood — by raising energy plantations in its wind farms. West Bengal to issue certificates to green energy project developers

According to reports, the West Bengal Government is in the final stages of issuing renewable energy certificates (RECs) for those who set up renewable energy projects here in the State. Kerala move for solar streetlights

According to reports, the State government plans to install solar streetlights in all municipalities across Kerala shortly. The programme will be launched in Aluva municipality by installing 100 solar streetlights, Electricity Minister Aryadan Mohammed has said.
