Tata BP solar gets new name and CEO

Tata BP Solar India Limited today formally announced name change to Tata Power Solar Systems Limited (Tata Power Solar). As part of a previously announced restructuring, Tata Power Solar is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power – the largest integrated power company in India.

In addition, Tata Power Solar also announced a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Ajay Goel – an alumnus of IIT-Delhi with an MBA from the University of Chicago. He brings over 20 years of broad industry experience to the team, with the last five years deeply focused on leading and transforming the face of the solar industry in North America.

With its deep roots and passion for solar, I am confident that we will make Tata Power Solar the leading solar company in the world”, said Mr. Ajay Goel CEO, Tata Power Solar.
